Students learn rules at Bike Rodeo

NORTH CREEK - Johnsburg Central School held its annual Bike Rodeo on Wednesday, May 25.

During the morning session, students in grades three, four, and five participated in a question/answer session presented by Martina Yagente from Warren County Cooperative Extension. The students then had to ride a designed highway course, challenging them to prove their knowledge of bicycle safety and New York state laws.

Kindergarten and grades one and two enjoyed an assembly presented by Officer Scott Rawson of the Warren County Sheriff's Department in which they learned proper bike safety requirements, rules of the road and necessary equipment to be a good rider.

The Bike Rodeo was sponsored by the Warren County Cooperative Extension and the Warren County Sheriff's Department.
