Have you ever wondered what happened to some of the animals you have seen posted in our weekly articles? The NCSPCA's website has a page full of "success stories" of our pets who have found forever homes. Recent stories include those of Nicholas, a deaf beagle-mix who spends much of his time strolling the campus of SUNY Albany with his new family; Kooper, an energetic poodle mix who enjoys playing with his two other adoptive furry siblings in Paradox; and Shadow, an abused German Shepherd-mix whose new family reports he has really come out of his shell, and enjoys snoozing in front of television when he's not up and about with wagging tail and smiling face. If you have your own success story you would like to share, please contact the shelter staff. We may even feature it in one of our upcoming articles!
Our featured pet this week is Penny, a beagle-mix who, although a senior citizen, still has plenty of zest for life. She has an endearing face with forest-brown eyes and a ruff of thick fur around her neck that you won't be able to resist sinking your fingers into. If you are looking for a smaller dog who has outgrown puppyish antics but still loves to get out and exercise, Penny is the dog for you. She is proof that some things just improve with age!
