Facebook death threat prompts arrest

LAKE GEORGE - A local teenaged girl was arrested last week after she threatened on her Facebook web page to murder other BOCES students and teachers.

On Jan. 14, the Warren County Sheriff's Office was contacted by Warren-Washington BOCES authorities about the Facebook posting, which read, "F#%k BOCES! I want to murder everyone. Massacre."

The 17-year-old BOCES student, whose name was not released by authorities, was arrested and charged with a misdemeanor of second-degree Aggravated Harassment. She was released on her own recognizance and is due to return to the Town of Lake George Court at 9 a.m. Jan. 27.

This incident was investigated by Sheriff's Investigators Russ Lail and John Maday.
