Accident injures local man, son

WARRENSBURG - A Warrensburg man and his son were injured Tuesday morning, Jan. 18, when a woman crossed into their lane and struck their vehicle.

Imprudent speed and alcohol use were most likely factors in the crash, police said.

Christina F. Burch, 30, struck a pickup truck driven by Adam Barrett, 29, of Warrensburg on Golf Course Road, injuring him and his 6-year-old son. Burch, who was not waring a seat belt, was also seriously injured in the crash.

No charges have yet been filed, but the accident remains under investigation. The Warrensburg Volunteer Fire Department and emergency personnel from Warrensburg, Johnsburg and North Warren squads assisted at the scene.
