TL Chamber announces 2010 awards

TUPPER LAKE - The Tupper Lake Chamber of Commerce recently announced the winners of its 2010 "Best of Tupper Lake" Awards, including the Citizen of the Year, Business of the Year and Entrepreneur of the Year.

Mark Moeller, owner/operator of the CBNA Insurance Agency at 117 Park St., was named Citizen of the Year. The Wild Center, formally known as the Natural History Museum of the Adirondacks, was named Business of the Year. And Stacked Graphics (Andrew McClelland and Pat Bedore), 136 Park St., was named Entrepreneur of the Year.

"For this year's awards, the Tupper Lake Chamber initiated online voting through tupper-lake.com and received more nominations than any time in our history," said chamber officials in a prepared statement. "We appreciate and send thanks to everyone who submitted nominations for our 2010 awards."

The awards will be handed out during the Chamber Awards Dinner & Annual Meeting, held at the Park Restaurant Feb. 19, starting at 5 p.m. The cost is $25 per person if purchased in advance and $30 at the door. Tickets can be purchased on-line at tupper-lake.com or in person at the chamber office at 121 Park St. and at The Well Dressed Food Company at 95 Park St.
