Local Food Committee
Dawn Sarli, challenge teacher, has reported that after a couple years of laying the groundwork, "we're in a good position to begin integrating more local foods and food education into the schools. With garden spaces at both schools, a partnership with GMC, and the great work that's being done around food and environmental education in many classrooms K-12, we're poised to make an impact on how we function in the food system." For further information about upcoming meetings, contact Sarli at 802-287-5861.
Youth Orchestra
Emma Baker, Alexis Hill, and Eleanor and Emma Dailey previously auditioned with the Lakes Region Youth Orchestra. On Jan. 5 the students, with the exception of Alexis due to illness, had the opportunity to perform in a combined show with the Lakes Region and Bennington Youth Orchestras. Congratulations to each of you!
