Two cars heavily damaged following accident

The snowy roads Wednesday led to a two-car motor vehicle accident in the village of Saranac Lake.

Saranac Lake Village Police responded to a personal injury automobile accident on Lake Flower Avenue near Fogarty's Marina at 7:27 a.m. Wednesday.

According to reports, 16-year-old Nina Scheuer of Saranac Lake was traveling too fast for road conditions and lost control of her vehicle, spinning into the opposite lane and into the path of a vehicle being operated by 46-year-old Daniel Tucker of Lake Clear.

Both vehicles were heavily damaged as a result of the collision.

Tucker did not report any injuries to police. Scheuer complained of pain at the scene, but declined medical attention from members of the Saranac Lake Volunteer Rescue Squad. She told police she would seek medical treatment on her own.
