PERU - David E. Ballard, 61, was injured in a one-car accident on Reservoir Road Jan. 4.
State police said Ballard was traveling eastbound when he attempted to change gears, losing control of the vehicle on the snow-covered road. Ballard's vehicle reportedly slid backwards, slamming into a guardrail before rolling on its side.
Lois E. Ballard, 51, a passenger, was transported to CVPH Medical Center, Plattsburgh, with complaints of chest pain. She was treated and released.
