WELLS - With Andrew Veldman in foul trouble, Chet Prouty came off the bench to rebound well in the paint and knock down free throws late in the game to seal Johnsburg's win over Wells, Jan 4.

The sophomore finished with eight points and went 4 for 8 from the line. Taylor Ordway's 19 points, including two three-pointers led the Jaguars and Ben Richards chipped in with 18 points. Kevin Conner added 14 points to the victory.

Jake Earley and Josh Fish each scored 15 for Wells.

INDIAN LAKE - Matt Rusch and Hank Evatt held the Mountaineers' post players, Austin Williams and John Evans, to just three points each and lead the Orange to a MVAC victory, Jan 4.

Williams and Evans had been averaging a combined 28 points per game.

Matt Moore led Indian Lake-Long Lake with 15 points and one three-pointer. Rusch added 10 to the victory.

Minerva-Newcomb was led by Dakota Thompson's nine points. Dylan Saville chipped in six.

JOHNSBURG - Taylor Ordway's 14 points led Johnsburg's MVAC attack and clinched a 51-40 win over Minerva-Newcomb, Jan. 6.

Sean O'Neil, Kevin Conner and Ben Richards each added 10 points for undefeated Johnsburg. There record improved to 5-0 in the league and 10-0 overall.

Austin Williams scored 15 points to lead the Mountaineers. John Evans contributed 10. Dylan Saville chipped in eight and morgan Winslow finished with five, including one three-pointer.

Indian Lake-Long Lake 37

Old Forge 34

LONG LAKE - Old Forge rallied late in the game to tie Indian Lake-Long Lake at 34, but a jump-shot from Stephen Pitcher's put the Orange back in the lead and lead them to a narrow victory, Jan. 8.

Pitcher finished with six points. Hank Evatt led Indian Lake-Long Lake with 12 points and one three-pointer. Matt Rush added 10 point and nine rebounds, and Matt Moore had eight points with one three-pointer, six rebounds and three assists.
