Dog-licensing process changes

CHAZY - The New York State Agriculture Market has turned the authority for dog licensing to the town of Chazy.

Residents will now have to pay $7.50 for each spayed or neutered dog and $15.50 for non-spayed or neutered dog each year. The town will not be involved with pure-bred licensing. The state will receive $3 from each non-spayed license and $1 from spayed licenses.

Residents will now receive dog-licensing renewals notices from the town, not the state. For more information, contact town clerk Leo Oliver at 846-7544, ext. 2.
