Dr. Gallagher said it will be a budget season full of tough questions and tough choices, but he was hopeful that the school and the board would be able to do right by both the taxpayers and the students.
"It's going to be hard work to come up with a budget that is going to be fair to the taxpayers and not hurt the educational programs that we offer at this school," he said. "It's going to take a lot of hard work and time."
School Board to meet
The Westport Central School District Board of Education will hold a budget meeting beginning at 6 p.m., followed by its regular meeting, on Thursday, Jan. 13, in the school library. All Board of Education meetings are open to the public.
