Moriah 57, Willsboro 42

The Lady Warriors rallied from a 30-point deficit, but were unable to make it all the way back despite outscoring the Lady Vikings 31-22 in the second half during the first round of the Moriah Holiday Tournament Dec. 28.

Serene Holland scored 11 of her team-high 15 points in the second half, adding four offensive rebounds and four assists to the effort.

Kyli Swires added 10 points, while Hannah Bruno scored nine points to go with three steals. Amanda Mahoney scored six points, and Renee Marcotte recorded 10 of her team's 24 rebounds in the game.

For the Vikings, who held a 35-11 lead at the half, Hayley Waldron filed the stat sheet with 18 points, 12 rebounds, eight steals, five assists and two blocked shots.

Lauren Pelkey and Hailey Chapuk added 11 points, with Santana Martinez adding seven points and four assists. Natasha Pratt also had four assists.

AVCS 67, New Hartford 51

The Lady Patriots saved their best for last, exploding on a 27-9 fourth quarter run that sealed the victory Dec. 28.

Megan Strong scored 11 of her team's 27 points in the final eight minutes, the only points she scored on the night.

Alexis Coolidge led the Lady Patriots with 22 points, putting her at 990 career points.

Alexis Facteau added 16 points and 20 rebounds, while Kayla Taylor dished out seven points to go with nine assists.

BMCS 56, Westport 43

Brushton-Moira outscored the Lady Eagles by six points in the fourth quarter to pull away in a non-league matchup Dec. 28.

Willa McKinley led the Eagles with 14 points, while Christina Sherman added eight points and Allison Sherman added seven.

CCS 51, Westport 26

The Lady Eagles were only able to score a high of seven points in the first and second quarters in a non-league game against Chateaugay Dec. 29.
