LEWIS - Emergency Medical Technicians from North Country ambulance squads gathered Dec. 28 to help New York City recover from a blizzard.
Ambulances from AuSable Forks, Keene Valley, Lake Placid, Ticonderoga, Willsboro, Malone, Moira, St. Regis Falls and Chateaugay and more than 30 responders from Essex, Franklin and Clinton counties left Tuesday afternoon to begin a 12-hour shift.
A group from Schroon Lake, Essex and Moriah, with eight volunteer departed that evening.
