Children win giant Christmas stockings

TICONDEROGA - An annual tradition at the Ticonderoga Federal Credit Union (TFCU), the holiday season is celebrated by raffling three toy-filled Christmas stockings to area children.

The giant Christmas stockings are hung with care in early December. Members may view the stocking and enter their child's name in the official raffle entry-box at any of the credit union's three branch locations; Ticonderoga, Elizabethtown and Port Henry. On the official drawing date, one name is randomly drawn at each branch.

This year's drawing took place on Monday Dec. 20 at 4 p.m. Chosen from hundreds of entries, the three winners were; Myles Steinberger at the Ticonderoga branch, Alivia Rohrer at the Elizabethtown branch and Harmony LaFountaine, who shared with her younger sister Megan, at the Port Henry branch.

TFCU is a not-for-profit, cooperative financial institution offering membership to persons who live, work, worship or attend school in, or businesses or legal entities located in Essex County, Washington County or the towns of Hague, Horicon and Chester.
