Committee members said they welcome input and direction on the budget before it goes to public vote this spring. The focus of these meetings will primarily be instructional expenses, which includes teachers' salaries and benefits.

Stony Creek Library event well attended

The book and bake sale held Feb. 5 on behalf of the Stony Creek Free Library was considered a substantial success, according to library board members.

Library employees and trustees express heartfelt thanks to those who donated books and baked goods for the sale. The next meeting of the library trustees is set for 6 p.m. March 8.

Scrap-A-Thon returns to WCS Elementary

Dozens of scrapbooking enthusiasts are expected to gather for Warrensburg Elementary School's upcoming Scrap-A-Thon which was so successful last year.

The event, set for 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 12, is a fundraiser for the school's playground development.

All are invited to attend. Admission is $20 for the day which includes a light breakfast and lunch. A basket raffle is included in the day's plans. Pre-register by calling the school at 623-9747.
