BOCES principal facing misdemeanor DWI charge

A local woman taken into custody last year for drunken driving was back in court last week.

Ray Brook-based state police arrested 56-year-old Elizabeth B. Sageman in November of last year, charging her with misdemeanor driving while intoxicated and refusing to take a breathalyzer test.

Sageman, who is a special education programs principal at the Franklin-Essex-Hamilton BOCES in Malone, was in North Elba Town Court Feb. 14, where her case was adjourned again until March 14.

Sageman has been allowed to remain on the job.
