Seminar series to address dining, social media and interview etiquette

PLATTSBURGH - The State University of New York at Plattsburgh Marketing Club has announced the latest sessions in its 2011 Business Etiquette Series, featuring forums on business, travel, meeting, dining and cocktail-party etiquette.

The next session, "Phone, E-mail and Social Media Etiquette," will be held Tuesday, March 1, in the Cardinal Lounge of the Angell College Center, presented by Dr. Nancy Church, distinguished service professor and chair of marketing and entrepreneurship at SUNY Plattsburgh. The session will begin at 5 p.m.

On Wednesday, March 9, "Interview and Office Etiquette," presented by SUNY Plattsburgh alumna Renee Dall - a recruiter from Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington, Vt. - will be offered also in the Cardinal Lounge, beginning at 5 p.m.

"Dining Etiquette," presented by Bob Rolfs - lecturer in hotel, restaurant and tourism management - will be offered Thursday, April 7, in Room 403B of Sibley Hall. That session will begin at 4:45 p.m., followed by dinner at 5:50 p.m. in Samuel D's Restaurant. Dinner will cost $15 and reservations required.
