A North Country man was taken into custody over the weekend for allegedly stabbing another person in the throat.
Plattsburgh-based state police arrested 20-year-old Raymond Gordon of Keeseville at approximately 2:07 p.m. Saturday.
Investigators say Gordon stabbed 60-year-old Jonathan Patterson in the throat several times at a residence in the town of AuSable. Reports indicate he also threatened state troopers with a knife, forcing police to subdue him with pepper spray.
He was taken into custody and charged with assault, second-degree menacing, resisting arrest, and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
The victim was treated for his injuries and released. Gordon was also treated at the hospital for injuries sustained in the confrontation.
Gordon was remanded to Clinton County Jail - he's scheduled to appear in AuSable Town Court at a later date.
The investigation into the incident is considered ongoing.
