One person was taken to the hospital following a car accident in Lake Placid this week.
According to Brad Jacques of the Lake Placid Volunteer Fire Department, rescue personnel responded to a two-car motor vehicle accident at 3:55 p.m. Wednesday.
One truck and 14 members arrived at Jersey Drive in the village of Lake Placid. Reports indicate there were four occupants between the two vehicles - one person was transported to the Adirondack Medical Center in Lake Placid.
The fire department received assistance from the Lake Placid Volunteer Ambulance Service, who sent two ambulances, as well as one ambulance from the Saranac Lake Rescue Squad. Volunteers from Keene stood-by at the Lake Placid fire station.
The other occupants did not require hospital transport. Ray Brook-based state police investigated the cause of the accident.
Volunteers returned to the station by 5:11 p.m.
