Audit finds taxpayers paid too much

BEEKMANTOWN - According to the New York State Comptroller's Office, Beekmantown Central School asked for more money from taxpayers during the last five years than was needed for educational programs.

Revenues exceeded about $5.6 million and more than half a million dollars of taxpayer money was never used.
