Snow causes triple-car accident

On Feb. 5, state troopers from the New Haven Barracks responded to a three car motor vehicle accident on U.S. Route 7, just south of the Leicester Four Corners, Leicester. Brandon Fire and Rescue responded. Minor injuries were reported. Upon arrival, three cars were found to be involved. The operator, Melissa D. Dunn, 22, of Brandon, was trapped in one vehicle and was extricated by Brandon Fire. She was transported to Rutland Regional for Treatment. Ultimately it was determined that one of the operators lost control of her vehicle and crossed over the center line, colliding with vehicle 2 (northbound). Once two vehicles came to rest, another (also northbound) came along and struck another vehicle. This was due to the fact that the vehicles did not have any lights on from the first collision.
