Ti church gets pastor

TICONDEROGA - Ticonderoga Assembly of God Church has welcomed Sheridan Race II as its new pastor.

Race most recently served for 10 years as associate pastor and youth director for the Whitehall Assembly of God. His wife, Marcy, assisted as youth leader.

Race did his pastoral studies at Zion Bible Institute in Rhode Island, where he received a bachelor of arts degree in Bible with a minor in pastoral ministry in the spring of 1999 and received his license to preach in March 2001. He completed two internship, one in Freetown, Mass., and another in Saratoga.

Race expressed excitement about his move to Ticonderoga Assembly of God and looks forward to working with the church members to help "equip leaders for service."
