The next Snowshoe Hikes, one hour long, are scheduled for 1 p.m. on all Saturdays in February.

The cost is $4 for Bolton residents, which includes snowshoe rental and $7 for non-residents. To preregister, call 644-9767.

Girlfriends' Getaway to return for 2011

Plans are progressing for the second annual Girlfriends Getaway in Bolton which was such a hit with participants and local merchants in its debut year of 2010.

The event, set for the weekend of May 13 through 15 at the Sagamore Resort, will feature 18 workshops, presentations, and classes. They include: Zumba and Yoga, Feng Shui and Adventures in Ghostbusting, Reiki and Animal Communication, Social Media tips, Ten Keys to Unlock and Unleash Your Creative Potential, plus kayaking and paddleboarding with the staff of Lake George Kayak.

This year there are two keynote speakers, WNYT 13 News Anchor Benita Zahn, and YNN-TV health and fitness reporter Marcie Fraser.

Bolton Senior activities scheduled

• Tuesday, Feb. 8 - Trip to Saratoga Racino along with the Lake George Seniors. Call Pat Merchant at 644-9359 for a reservation. These trips have been permanently changed from Wednesday to Tuesday.

• Wednesday, Feb. 16 - Bowling at Sparetime, Lake George, 10 a.m. Lunch at Chinatown following bowling.

• Saturday, Feb. 19 - 6-10 p.m., Bolton Library's Cabin Fever Party. Bring a dish to share to this free event. Party has moved this year to the Bolton Town Garage, Finkle Road. Enjoy great socializing, gourmet food and live music. Wear your Hawaiian shirt - there's a tropical theme.

• Wednesday, Feb. 23 - Wii Bowling 10 a.m. at the Bolton Senior Center. Try your hand at this virtual sport!

Reminder: Bolton Residents 50 years of age or older are eligible to attend the Bolton Seniors' meetings and activities.
