Sometimes, you can't get there from here-but when it comes to getting broadband out to Vermonters, FairPoint technicians don't seem to let a little rough terrain get in the way. They turn to Claude Demarais and his draft horse, Ben, to get through snow, hillsides, dirt roads and more. Here, FairPoint lineman Kevin Major leads Ben to place 25,000 more feet of fiber cable near Chelsea Road. FairPoint claims it will bring broadband coverage to half of its exchanges in Vermont this year.
