So, it’s two shopping days to Christmas and most people will be hitting the stores and malls, but there are still a few events that will be taking place this weekend and into the early part of next week.
On Saturday and Sunday, the Essex Community Church will host the following services for Christmas:
•Annual Christmas Eve Candle Lighting Service on Saturday, Dec. 24, at 11 p.m., with a service of lessons and carols.
•Christmas Morning Worship Service at 10:15 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 25. All are welcome.
•“The Littlest Angel,” will be performed on Tuesday, Dec. 27, and Wednesday, Dec. 28, at 7 p.m. at the Lake Placid Center for the Arts. The show runs approximately 50 minutes. Tickets are $10 adults, $8 students under 17, $5 kids under 5. Tickets can be purchased in advance by calling 523-2512 or they will be available at the door.
•Also, in a story that we just learned about, a certain someone will be at Willsboro Central School on Wednesday, Dec. 28, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. to talk about her experience on a recent television show. Who, you ask (or don’t if you have seen the front page of the paper)? Watch the Valley News website to find out more ...
