Boys hockey team beat; CVAC hoops starts today

— On Saturday, play begins at 1 p.m. with the Saranac Lady Chiefs and Saranac Lake Lady Red Storm opening play, followed by a boys game between the same two teams at 2:30 p.m.

Meg Campney returns this season for Ticonderoga. She’ll be counted on for scoring and rebounding inside.

The Ticonderoga Sentinels and Seton Catholic Knights will take the court for the next two games, with the girls teams facing off at 4 p.m. and the boys teams playing at 5:30 p.m.

The evening ends with the Beekmantown Eagles and the Northeastern Clinton Cougars, with the girls teams playing at 7 p.m. and the boys teams capping the event at 8:30 p.m.

In the Mountain and Valley Athletic Conference, the first cross-over Friday between Division I and Division II kicks off with girls and boys varsity games starting at 5 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., respectively. Matchups include Wells traveling to Chazy, Elizabethtown-Lewis at Indian Lake/Long Lake, Schroon Lake visiting Minerva/Newcomb, Keene at Westport and Willsboro going to Crown Point.
