Congressman unimpressive

To the Times of Ti:

Part of Ticonderoga is in the 20th Congressional district and at the last election we voters moved away from liberal Democrats and elected a candidate who stood for conservative reform, or so he said.

It has been long enough for me to realize we made a mistake and can expect little more than “business as usual” in our congressional district. I have made a few calls to (Rep. Chris) Gibson’s office and got very little satisfaction in the answers to my questions about his policies as our representative.

I met him and chatted for a short while at the Fort Ti clambake and was not impressed at all. He was evasive when asked difficult questions and his other comments seemed very scripted. I came away feeling we had done nothing but replaced one bad liberal politician with another. For me, at the next congressional election it will be “vote ‘em out” time again.
