Tournament a pleasure

To the Times of Ti:

On Aug 6, the sixth annual Brian T. Carpenter Memorial Golf Tournament was hosted at the Moriah Country Club in Port Henry.  Each year, we have had the immense pleasure of working with and hosting the most amazing and supportive people for this fund raising benefit. As always, the enthusiasm and support of all the participants helped make the event fun, as well as, a fabulous success. The monies raised from this event assist in funding the Brian T. Carpenter Memorial Scholarship which is awarded to a Moriah Central School Senior each year.  The recipient in 2011 was Jamie Poirer.

In great part due to the continued support, caring and sharing of all involved, our memories of Brian continue to be so vivid, alive and happy.  Everyone’s participation in this event is a great tribute to Brian’s memory and friendship.  Brian is with us in spirit everyday and is surely smiling down upon all of you in thanks for your continued friendship, support and sharing of happy memories.

We would like to especially thank the following volunteers for their time, hard work before, during and after the tournament: Steve and Carrie Popp, Kathy Wagstaff, Mayumi Wagstaff-Blaise, Anna and Jim Mayhood, Denise Carpenter, Julie and Sami Ida, Mike Mayhood, Jo Mydlarz, Tammy and Chris Russo, Isabel, Mike and Vicky McGrath, Rick Carpenter, Tania and Jeff Bradford, Suzette MacKenzie, Kurstin Mauran, Jill Shpur and Rollin Slattery.  A special thanks goes out to Steve Schaeffer, Ramon and Adirondack Heritage Hogs for another fantastic pig roast! If we have forgotten anybody, it is entirely unintentional and you are also very appreciated for all you do.
