Ti Elk elected national president

— The Ticonderoga Elks Dictionary Project remains in full force, now headed by Richard A. Nadeau.

Carr served as New York State Elks Association secretary from 1999 to 2009, as a member of the Elks National Board of Trustees from 2006 to 2010, and as state president from 2009 to 2010.

Active with numerous volunteer groups in Ticonderoga and Crown Point, Carr lives with his wife Penny in Crown Point. The couple has four children: David, who lives in Oklahoma with his wife Kim and their son Branden; John, who lives in Whitehall and has four sons, John, Jordan, Anthony, and Austin; Lisa, who lives in Vermont with her husband Tim and their sons Timothy and Michael; and Claire Butterworth, who lives in California with her husband Charles and their daughter Willow.
