Schroon — Two groups that help monitor lake quality and activities were awarded a grant recently from International Paper with an aim of protecting the watershed’s ecology.
The Schroon Lake Association and the East Shore Schroon Lake Association were given a grant that will enable the groups to distribute copies of the publication, “Schroon Lake Homeowners Guide to a Healthy Lake.” Both associations and the towns of Chester, Horicon and Schroon will distribute copies to the public.
