Celebrating birthdays this week are Kaitlyn, Courtney and Chelsey Witz on Aug. 20, Scott Mosher, Joe Groff, Judy Shaw on Aug. 21, Tyler Springer on Aug. 22, Mel Groff, Anne Rohe and Darlene Miner on Aug. 24, Alice Needham on Aug. 25, and Carol Cameron on Aug. 26.

Thurman residents observing anniversaries this week include Steve and Diane Woodwill, 36 years on Aug. 23, Andrew and Evie Hall, 11 years on Aug. 25 and Donovan and Jessie Baker, 16 years on Aug. 26.

A happy belated “M&M” birthday wish is out to Barb Farrell who celebrated on Aug. 2.

On a personal note

Jim and Becky Desourdy hosted family members, friends and former Thurman ambulance squad members Saturday Aug. 6 for an outdoor picnic and a fair weather get-together. Guests included Yvonne and Steve MacNeill; Rick and Ida Ovitt and children Cameron and Richard; Debbie and Mary Hill, Christian Duswatt, daughter Jade and niece Aubree; Scott Mosher; Heidi Haskell and Stub Bills. All attending enjoyed the afternoon get-together, while some of the children enjoyed a dip in the pool.

Sympathy goes out from the community to the family of Gilford Fuller who passed away on Sunday, Aug. 7 at the Glens Falls Hospital.

Get well wishes go out to Bob Herrmann, Earle Dibble, Ken Ackley, Joan Murphy, Barb Baker, Polly Hanes, Suzie Baker.

As of this writing, the Maine coon cat that wandered away from his Huber Rd. home has not been found. He is timid, so if you see him, call the owner at 623-3191.
