Middlebury Mary Hogan Elementary Principals Bonnie Bourne and Tom Buzzell said teachers and staff are preparing for the first day of school Aug. 31. Several changes have been made to the back-to-school schedule for this year. This year’s bus routes appear below. Parents are asked to discard last year’s schedule and follow the new schedule appearing below.
The traditional Muffins at Mary Hogan will be held in the school gymnasium from 8-9 a.m. on the first day of school, Aug. 31.
Parents and guardians are invited to bring their children to classrooms on the first day and then stop in the gymnasium to visit with other families, board members and members of the school and district staff.
In addition to greeting new youngsters and their families, school officials will welcome back two former Mary Hogan teachers: Jennifer Kane and Steve Lindemann. Also, Amber Harris joins Mary Hogan as a grade-1 job share teacher with Fiona Corrigan as a long-term substitute at grade 5 for the fall.
Bus routes for all Middlebury elementary, middle school and high school students are printed below as well as on the school website at http://maryhoganschool.org.
Bus routes are designed so that all buses will arrive at Mary Hogan by 8:15 a.m.
Parents driving or walking youngsters to school should plan to arrive between 8 a.m. and 8:25 a.m.
Children arriving after 8:25 will be marked as “tardy”, according to Bourne and Buzzell.
At the end of the school day, bus riders will be dismissed beginning at 2:45 p.m. and all others will be dismissed starting around 2:55 p.m.
New families to Mary Hogan are encouraged to register their children prior to the first day of school.
Please contact the school office at 802-388-4421 for details about how to register.
