Bolton Artisans displaying their creations and demonstrating their techniques will be filling Rogers Park Saturday, Aug. 13 and Sunday, Aug. 14 during the Bolton Emergency Squad Arts & Crafts Fair that always draws so many people to town.
More than 30 vendors will be participating, presenting a wide variety of handiwork from paintings, woodwork, decorated or handcrafted home furnishings and novelty items. The fair hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days in Rogers Park. This event is a major fundraiser for the volunteer Bolton Emergency Squad.
Chair auction nears
The beautifully embellished Adirondack chairs you have seen on display throughout Bolton Landing this summer will be auctioned off on Saturday, Aug. 20 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Bolton Landing Conservation Park.
The gala but casual event, the annual Chrissy’s Chairs Auction, features late-night entertainment by the renowned Stony Creek Band.
More than 20 local artists gave of their time and talent to this fundraiser in memory of Christine Nicole Perry, who died years ago at a young age in an out-of state automobile crash. The proceeds go to a foundation in Chrissy’s name, run by Christine's parents, Mark and Linda Perry of Bolton.
The foundation has awarded money to various community service causes and scholarships at Bolton Central. Proceeds of this auction of “Chrissy’s Chairs” will benefit Cindy’s Comfort Camp.
Book sale a success
The trustees of the Bolton Free Library extend thanks to the greater Bolton community for their support for the recent book sale, which several termed as a “fabulous” turnout. With the help of townspeople, the book sale netted $7,682 for the library, they said.
