National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day happening now

National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day will host collection sites today from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

In Clinton County, unwanted prescription drugs will be accepted at the Plattsburgh State Field House, Plattsburgh City Police Department, Clinton County Sheriff's Department, and Rouses Point Volunteer Fire Department. In Essex County, collection sites are at the Essex County Sheriff's Department, Jay Town Hall, Schroon Lake Town Hall, Willsboro Volunteer Fire Department, Moriah Police Department, Ticonderoga Police Department and Moriah Volunteer Fire Department. In Franklin County, drop-off sites are at the Lake Placid Police Department, Malone Village Police Department and St. Regis Mohawk Tribal Police Department.

Those who miss the National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day today may contact their local law enforcement agency or pharmacy to find out when prescription drugs may be dropped off prior to another National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day planned this October.
