On the mound for Warrensburg was Mika Morehouse, who showed considerable poise despite moving up from Modified ball this year.

Burgher Coach Brent Bertrand said he had faith in Mika's future.

"She kept her composure, pitching the whole game," he said. "She's got talent, and she's going to be amazing in the years to come."

For Hartford, Brittany Brayman went 3 for 5 with a three-run home run to lead the Tanager offense.

Brayman also tallied a triple and a single, and she racked up eight RBIs. Petteys and Charissa Lewis hit a double and single each.

For Warrensburg, Katie Riddle hit two singles and Kerrigan Roth hit a single.

Hartford advances to 4-1 overall, and Warrensburg drops to 0-3.
