Waterfest gets thumbs up for July

LAKEPLACID- The Greater Adirondack Resource Conservation and Development Council recently received the thumbs up from the village board to hold an educational event called "Adirondack Waterfest" in July beside the Lake Placid Convention-Visitors Bureau. The free event will take place on July 29, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.The event will highlight local businesses, and educate the public about issues surrounding water quality. Adirondack Waterfest has been held for 13 prior years, but this is the first time it's been held in the village.
