Warrensburg Town Court Report

• Jason R. Hightower, 21, of River St. in Warrensburg, was arraigned on a charge of third-degree Rape, a felony. Police said that on Feb. 22, Hightower had sex with a girl who was under 16 - too young to legally consent - at a Schroon River Road home. He is also facing the felony charge of Possessing the Sexual Performance of a Child. Police said that he possessed obscene photographs on his cell phone of the girl. An order of protection was issued in the case to bar Hightower from having contact with the victim. After his arrest, he was sent to jail, and he later posted bail. County Sheriff's Patrol Officer Greg Seeley and Investigator Chris Hatin handled the case, which was adjourned to May 11.

• Anthony D. Burt, 37, of Main St., Warrensburg, was arraigned on a charge of Unlawfully Dealing with a Child, based on a September 2010 incident. Police said that he gave his son, who was 17 at the time, a tattoo of a blue dragon on his left upper arm, knowing he was under 18.

• Monty D. Fish, 48, of Dinu Drive in Warrensburg, was arraigned on a charge of Resisting Arrest as well as Harassment. Police said that on April 8, Fish pushed his body towards Warren County Sheriff's Patrol Officer Jeremy Coon and he resisted being handcuffed. The Harassment charge is based on police allegations that Fish pushed Coon twice and said, "You are just as (expletive deleted) guilty as she is." The case was adjourned to May 18.

• Amanda L. Planty, 21, convicted of Resisting Arrest, was ordered to pay a surcharge of $205 and put on probation for three years. Charges of second-degree Criminal Contempt, fourth-degree Criminal Mischief IV second-degree Harassment were dismissed in the plea deal. Several of the charges were lodged against her after she slammed her forehead into the rear area of a Sheriff's patrol car causing a small dent in the vehicle, kicked a patrol officer in the shin, and sat on the pavement and refused to submit to handcuffing, yelling an obscenity at the arresting officer. She had also been charged with Criminal Contempt for sending a computer message via MySpace to a female acquaintance, although an Order of Protection was in place barring her from contacting her.
