RUTLAND - Spring is in the air and the National MS Society Walk is the perfect way for Vermont families and friends to cure their cabin fever. The walk takes place at Rutland High School this Saturday, April 30, with registration at 9 a.m.
Walkers may register at the event or pre-register at www.MSnewengland.org or call 871-5696. People are invited to walk individually or create a team; bring family and friends.
The National MS Society Walk is a time for Vermonters to have fun outside, while standing together to help raise essential funds that support cutting edge research, drive change through advocacy, and facilitate professional education. Multiple Sclerosis is an unpredictable, often disabling, disease of the central nervous system that interrupts the flow of information within the brain, and between the brain and body. Joining the MS walk will help people living with MS move forward in their lives.
Caroline Marcus of Clarendon, who was diagnosed with MS in 1998 said, "Walk MS is so rewarding because you know you are giving back. There is pride in knowing you are helping to get important programs the money they need. Be a part of Rutland's Walk MS to show the community how much you care."
