PITTSFORD-Do you have stray, feral or abandoned cats near your home or workplace? Do you see them when you're out running errands and especially when you're out at night? Are you currently feeding stray cats? If so, the Rutland County Humane Society (RCHS) can help.
RCHS is working with communities around the county to help identify areas where abandoned cats are living and to work with volunteers on a population control program called Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR), in which stray and feral cats are humanely trapped, vaccinated against rabies and sterilized. They are then returned to their familiar habitats under the lifelong care of volunteers.
If you know where these cats are living or want to learn more, please contact Jessica at 483-9171 or Jessica@rchsvt.org.
OTIS
Two year old. Neutered male. Labrador Retriever mix.
I am extremely talented. I know Sit, Down, Shake, Drop and Roll Over. I'm a well mannered guy who loves to play and do tricks. I'm handsome and loving and I'm fun to be around. I'm an active fella who needs exercise and play time to keep me busy. If you're looking for a smart companion who enjoys being with people please stop by and say hi.
RED
Five year old. Neutered male. Redbone Coonhound mix.
I'm a handsome, active fella who is fun to be with. I love being with people. I'm a high energy dog who needs a lot of exercise and play time. I love to run so a secure area for my exercise would be best. I'm a smart guy who already knows Sit and Down and if you'll work with me I'm sure I can learn more tricks.
SID
Four year old. Neutered male. Domestic Short Hair Cream/Tan Flame Point mix.
Wow, have you seen me? How I stand out amongst my shelter-mates. Sorry guys, but it's true. You don't just see my beauty everywhere. I bet if you are in the process of spring cleaning you might want to spruce up your place with something refreshing like me.
CRUNCH
Two year old. Neutered male. Domestic Short Hair Black.
It's Crunch time. That can mean a few things. First, it's time to eat (crunch, crunch). Second, it's time to come adopt me. I am one of three black beauties that were brought in by a wonderful citizen. I'm ready to spend some time with you. I know with your busy schedule, it's always crunch time, but now is the time for me.
