Trip to Canada

The Warrensburg 50-Plus Club is planning a five-day, four-night trip to Montreal and Quebec City scheduled for June 13 through 17.

The trip includes tours of historic and culturally significant sites in the two cities.

Among the activities are guided tours of the historic Old Montreal and Old Quebec City, visits to Notre Dame Basilica, St. Joseph's Oratory/Shrine and a trip to the Montreal Casino.

Also planned is a 3-D multimedia show at Quebec Experience Theater and a visit to the grand waterfall, Montmorency Falls, a natural wonder in the province of Quebec. Birthday thanks

Mabel Thomas and her family of Stony Creek express a heartfelt "thank you" to all in the area who participated in her recent birthday celebration, which many people enjoyed.

The family members said they really appreciated everyone's help with food and setting up. Also, Mabel Thomas thanks everyone for flowers, gifts and cards.

Hall's grandson on Dean's List Matthew Costow, grandson of Irene Hall and the late Simeon Hall of Hudson Street in Warrensburg, has been named to the Dean's List at Norwich University in Northfield, Vt. Costow, a freshman at Norwich, is the son of Linda Hall Costow and Randy Costow of Boston, Mass. After graduation, Costow plans on entering the U.S. Marines.

Burgher Dash

The second annual Burgher Dash is to be held May 14, beginning at 9:30 a.m. The event is being held to help raise money for Warrensburg Elementary playground development. The entry fee is $20 for adults, $10 for students, and $45 per family. The first 125 participants will receive commemorative T-shirts. The entry fee for the children's fun run is $5.
