Solid core key to ELCS baseball team

ELIZABETHTOWN-The Elizabethtown-Lewis varsity baseball team does not have a senior on the roster, but is full of players who are experienced in the game and as a team.

"Our attitude and enthusiasm for the game is great," head coach Jim Ratliff said. "This group lives for baseball. For years, this group would get together on their own and have pick-up games all summer long."

Ratliff said that the team is still looking to gain experience through the season, and that they hope to have fun doing so.

"We want our pitchers to gain experience and get better offensively and defensively as the season goes on," Ratliff said. "Then, we want to turn all that into being competitive and winning."
