"The humane societies come to the store, it's them - we only supply, the space, food and litter for local groups," explained Labou, adding other partner organizations for the event include the Adirondack Humane Society and Franklin County SPCA. "It's sponsored by [Purina] Pro Plan, so [those adopting] get a bundle of coupons, for free food and litter, and all sorts of things for animals."
"This is a great event," added Labou. "We're just trying to find pets homes."
National PetSmart Adoption Weekend will be held daily from 10 a.m to 4 p.m.
