Hunter education class set

WARRENSBURG - Warren County Cooperative Extension's 4-H Program will be offering a hunter education class from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 7 at the Stony Creek Town Hall.

Topics will include safe firearms handling, wildlife conservation, hunting ethics, outdoor safety/survival, and general laws of hunting in New York state. This free class provides the training necessary to receive to be a certified hunter in New York state. All materials must be picked up by April 28 at the Cooperative Extension office, 377 Schroon River Road, Warrensburg.

Youth attending must be at least 11 years old and have parental permission. Call 668-4881 or 623-3291 to register.
