Flood stage on lake leaves Westport sandbagging park, marina

An inmate from the Moriah Correctional Facility brings sandbags across a flooded playground at Lee Park in Westport. A flood warning and flood advisory has been issued for Lake Champlain, which reached flood stage over the weekend. National Weather Service officials in Burlington, Vermont say the lake level reached 100.7 feet Sunday morning. Flood stage is 100 feet. The lake level could surpass 101 feet by early Tuesday morning.
