Conservative Party honors Birkholz

WARRENSBURG - Local citizen activist Carol Birkholz was recently awarded for her lengthy service as both Chairwoman of the Warren County Conservative Committee and member of the New York State Conservative Party's statewide Executive Committee.

Birkholz received the party's top service award during its annual legislative reception held March 14 at the Empire State Plaza in Albany.

The award is named after Conservative Party co-founder, long-time state Chairman and former Judge J. Daniel Mahoney of the U.S. Court of Appeals. In presenting the award state party chairman Michael Long said the award recognized Birkholz's "many years of untiring and unstinting dedication to the Conservative Party and its philosophy."
