Charges filed in hit-and-run

QUEENSBURY- Warren County Sheriffs responded to the scene of a possible hit-and-run last week on Aviation Road near the intersection of Potter Road in Queensbury.

Gail M. Cook, 49, of Queensbury, allegedly struck Tyler H. Carey, 35, of Queensbury, who was on the shoulder. He was transported to Glens Falls Hospital for treatment for lower extremity injuries.

Cook fled the scene and was later stopped by police. She was found to be intoxicated after the performance of field sobriety tests revealed a BAC of .22 percent. She was charged with aggravated DWI, unsafe lane change, and leaving the scene of a personal injury motor vehicle accident. She was released to appear in the Queensbury Town Court at a later date.
