Brace tosses no-hitter in MVAC softball win

Crown Point 28, Willsboro 4

Lindsay Brace fired a no-hitter as Crown Point routed Willsboro, 28-4, in Mountain and Valley Athletic Conference softball play April 14.

Brace fanned 15 on the hill and ripped three hits at the plate.

Taylor Booth also had three hits for the Panthers. Brittney Foote had two hits for Crown Point.

The Panthers scored 28 runs on just 12 hits. Willsboro pitchers issued 23 walks and hit seven batters.

Chazy 16, Schroon 2

Chazy rolled past Schroon Lake, 16-2, in Mountain and Valley Athletic Conference softball play April 12.

Emily Keable had a big day for Chazy. She pitched a complete game, four-hitter, striking out eight. At the plate she lashed a pair of hits and drove home two runs.

Emily LaPierrre had two hits and Astrid Kempainen had two RBI for the Eagles.

Rebecca Armstrong accounted for half the Schroon Lake offense with two hits.
