SARATOGA SPRINGS - Early last week, Borders in Saratoga Springs made its last sale and officially closed its doors to business. During its final days, the store had sold out its entire second floor and was selling its final merchandise after a two-month liquidation process.
Borders officials recently announced plans to close one-third of the chain's 642 locations nationwide, including Saratoga's location, which has been on Broadway for 11 years.
