Young students honor Earth Day
On Friday, April 15, kindergarten students of Bolton Central School picked up litter on school grounds in an event intended to prompt lifelong stewardship of their natural surroundings. The activity, held annually in observance of Earth Day (April 22), is intended to boost environmental responsibility in the young students. Classroom curriculum about respect for the environment accompanies the activity.
Palazzo benefit dinner
Friends and family of local resident James Palazzo, a cancer patient, will be holding a benefit dinner on April 30 in order to raise money to pay for his rising medical costs.
Palazzo was recently diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer that has metastasized to his liver. The benefit will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Lakeside Lodge and Grille on Main Street in Bolton Landing. Adults will be charged $15 and children are free. A live auction, a Chinese auction, and raffles will be featured. Bolton Chamber seeking vendors
The Bolton Chamber of Commerce is now seeking vendors to participate in their first-ever Bolton Bike & Art Fest, planned for Thursday, June 9 through Saturday, June 11.
Chamber officials are inviting local artisans, crafters and vendors of motorcycle-related products and services to participate. The Chamber will also offer space to motorcycle owners trying to sell their vehicles. During this weekend, during which the region hosts the popular Americade motorcycle rally, the town will be participating in the Americade Scavenger Hunt, and downtown Bolton will offer art, music, food and more.
