Thurman Townwide Sale sign-ups

All Thurman residents and organizations planning to hold yard sales or other special activities during the Thurman Townwide Sale on May 13 through 15 are urged to stop by the town hall in Athol to register their sale and pick up the appropriate signs.

Organizations are not charged the $3 fee, but are asked to supply information for publicity and pick up the free pink signs. The sale committee is naming 2011 the year to "sign up and be counted," reminding sellers that many shoppers from far away will be looking at our seller list on the Internet, deciding whether or not to trek to Thurman to enjoy the offering. Volunteers will conduct the sale signups from 2 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday, April 28, 29 and 30 only, since the typed list must be ready for printing three days later. Remember, a team effort will make help us continue our tradition of a successful Townwide Sale.

As added inducement, all individuals who sign up will have their names entered into a May 30 drawing for prizes worth more than the $3 signup fee.
